Blooming Futures is a leading environmental group promoting truly sustainable biofuels, in particular the use of Vegetable Oil, or Pure Plant Oil (PPO) technologies.

- It's official - Users of less than 2,500 litres of PPO a year do not have to register or pay road fuel duty - meaning a fuel price of 65p per litre for most domestic users!

Our fully qualified team of engine converters are the most experienced engine conversion team in the UK - we have fully qualified engineers with additional qualifications in engine conversions.
PPO is the lowest impact road fuel available today. It has a footprint far smaller than both conventional diesel and bio-diesel.
PPO is estimated as having an energy footprint over 25 times smaller than its chemically procesed cousin, bio-diesel, and a footprint well over 50 times smaller than bio-ethanol. (See Section 4.6 of the Levington Agricultural Report for full details - 500kB PDF)

We are service partners to the world leaders in engine conversion technologies and can install the most advanced kits available on the UK market.
We are working with a number of farming organisations in the south east to establish a series of on-the-farm seed presses to produce the most local low impact fuel available. We can offer consultancy for other farmers or farming organisations that are interested in the production of PPO.
As far as sourcing PPO is concerned, with the recent changes in biofuels taxation legislation, we are currently reviewing our fuel delivery strategy. However, we are able to put our existing customers in touch with companies who can arrange delivery of fuel grade PPO across the UK.
